About Me

Hi! My name is David Kerns but you can call me Davis, I'm from Olathe Kansas and I moved to Rochester New York in 2017 to pursue a degree in Animation. I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2021 with a BFA in Film & Animation! I love action, sci-fi, mythological, super heroes and anything fantasy themed.  My imagination is a little wild so why not make it into movies?!

 

I've been drawing for years and I have dabbled in 2D drawn animation, 2D digital puppet animation, and stop motion animation. I love all mediums but I specialize in 3D animation. I've made two short films for my sophomore and junior year, worked on a team film as Animation Lead, and finished my senior capstone while collaborating on some peer's capstone's as well.

Outside of animating, I did color guard with Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International. That then led me to Las Vegas where I live now and perform circus as well!
